Mrs. Mary L. Curran after a short illness, died at Hudson at an early hour yesterday morning, at the age of 77 years, eight months. She was the eldest child of George and Chloe Sweeting Langford, of Westmoreland, where she was born April 11, 1815. She married Edward Curran, of Utica, May 7, 1839. Mrs. Curran continued to live in Utica after the death of her husband in 1856, until 1879, and since then she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Willard Peck, of Hudson, N. Y.
She is survived by her brothers, De Witt, of Vernon, and Nathaniel, of St. Paul, and her sisters, Mrs. Wm. Spencer and Mrs. Wm. Marshall, of St. Paul, Minn. Her children living are Mrs. Fannie Lothrop, of San Francisco; Edward and George L. Curran, of Utica; H. B. Curran, of Whitesboro, and Mrs. Willard Peck, of Hudson.
Mrs. Curran's life centered in her home and family; she was deeply attached to her children and they to her. She was a woman of much perseverance and resolution, and did much good in a quiet way. She was for many years a member of Westminster Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday in Hudson, and Thursday morning from the house of George L. Curran.
