Bill Buford, 67, of Ola died Wednesday, March 4, at his home. He was retired from the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a native of Yell County, and was the son of the late William Buford and the late Mima J. Turner Buford.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Tolbert Buford.
Survivors include his wife, Dortha Buford; two sons, John Buford of Ola and Fred Buford of Fort Smith; two step-sons, Jeff Robinson of Oklahoma City, and Patrick Robinson of Rogers, AR; one step-daughter, Julie Stokes of Dardanelle; three brothers, Robert M. Buford of Fort Smith and Jimmy B. Buford and Donnell Ray Buford of Ola; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
