JARRETT--Bruce S. Jarrett, 89 of Allenwood R.D. 1, died Wednesday, 30 Aug 1961, in the Muncy Valley Hospital. A retired farmer, he was a 50-year member of Williamsport Moose Lodge No. 145. Surviving are his wife, Blanche Rothermel Jarrett, 5 daughters, a son, 20 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Barr's funeral Home in Watsontown. The Rev. Sinclair W. Reid, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Allenwood, will officciate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Montoursville.

Bruce S. jarrett, 89, Allenwood RD 1, died about 2:10p.m. August 30, 1961, in Muncy Valley Hospital. He had been seriously ill for the past two months.
He was born February 7, 1872, in White Deer Valley, a son of the late Elias Jarrett and Charity Cox Jarrett. For the past 3 years, he and his wife, the former Blanche Rothermel, had resided at the home of their don-in-law & daugther (Erma Mae) Mr. & Mrs. John Sealy, Allenwood RD.
He was engaged in farming in the Allenwood area until the Ordinance Depot was located in that area in 1942. He resided in Allenwood for 17 years, prior to going to the home of his daughter.
He was a member of the Old Stone Church, Allenwood, RD, and was a 50-year member of Williamsport Lodge 145, LOOM>
Surviving are his wife, 5 daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Lila Beatrice) Mosser, of Mill Hall. Mrs Carson (Mildred) Metzger, of Mifflinburg RD, Mrs. Robert (Cleda) Gruver, Mrs. Bert (Myra Bernice) Lynch, & Mrs. John (Mildred) Sealy, of Allenwood RD, and one sone Norman Jarrett, Watsontown RD 2; also 20 grandchildren, 58 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral serices will be held at 2pm Sunday from Herbert E. Barr Funeral Home. South Main St., Watsontown. Officiating will be the Rev. Sinclair Reid, minister to Allenwood Presbyterian Church, Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery, Montgomery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 pm Saturday.
