John Breunig
Dies at Age 87
SAUK CITY — John A. Breunig, 87, Sauk City, who retired about 20 years ago from farming in the Town of Roxbury died Monday in a Madison nursing home. He was born in Roxbury in 1883. On Sept. 29, 1914, he was married to Elizabeth Miller of Roxbury. She died in October, 1970. Mr. Breunig was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City. Surviving are five sons, Wilfred and Leo, both of Sauk City; Eugene, Cross Plains; Melvin, Waunakee, and Milo, Portage; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Zins, Sauk City; Mrs. Edmund Schroeder, Columbus; Mrs. Clarence Henn, Mazomanie, and Mrs. James Masak, Northbrook, Ill; one brother, Robert Breunig, Roxbury; three sisters, Miss Susan Breunig, Mrs. Lidia Endes, and Mrs. Jack Schwartz, all of Roxbury; 36 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Schwoegler Funeral Home, Sauk City, after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be recited there at 8 Wednesday night. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Aloysius' Church Sauk City, with the Rev. Joseph Cox officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
