J. Dumas COGGIN, 60, a resident of Route #2, died Tuesday at 8:10 p.m. in the the local hospital. He was the son of the late Lockey and Dovie Biles Coggin. He was a retired barber, having practiced his profession in Badin for many years. He was a member of Badin Baptist Church. Mr. Coggin was married to the former Miss Grace Jenkins, who survives with five children, J.D. of Tarboro, Roy of the U.S. Air Force, now in Arizona, Louis Bain of Chester, Pa., Mrs. M.V.M. Williams of Alcoa, Tenn., Mrs. Vander Warner of Pocomoke, Md.; and the following brothers and sisters, Arch Coggin of Palmerville, Mrs. E.H. Morton and Mrs. M.L. Wells of Carnegia, Pa., Mrs. Mae McMullan of Detroit, Mich. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Badin Baptist by the pastor, the Rev. L.D. Munn assisted by the Rev., D.K. Snyder, pastor of the Badin Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the Palmerville Cemetery.
