Winona Deaths - Mrs. Louise A. Davis
Mrs. Louise A. Davis, 79, 607 Wilson Street, died Thursday evening at her home after an illness of several months.
The former Louise A. Braatz, she was born January 10, 1881, at Ridgeway, daughter of William and Frederika (Cooper) Braatz. She had lived here 16 years.
She was married to George Wilfred Davis on April 21, 1903. Mrs. Davis was employed as a Winona County rural school teacher a number of years before her marriage. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Pickwick, and its Women's Society.
Survivors include one son, Wilfred George Davis, Winona; two daughters, Mrs. Irene (Clinton) Hodgdon, Blue Earth, Minn., and Mrs. Dorothy (Omer) Harem, Lamoille; one sister, Miss Anna Braatz, Winona; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, the Rev. W. J. Koepsell officiating. Burial will be in Pickwick Cemetery.
Friends may call at Breitlow Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial is being arranged.
