Julia Moreno Aguero of Cotulla, entered into rest on Sunday, December 3, 2006 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 95 years. She was born on January 31, 1911 in Monterrey, Mexico to Guadalupe and Sara Ortiz Moreno. Julia lived on the Peterson Ranch in Cotulla from the time she was an infant until she married Alberto Trevino Aguero on August 31, 1928 in a civil ceremony and on September 1, 1928 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla. She was a migrant worker and worked in the cotton and other agricultural fields mirgrating to Illinois until 1971. In times of need she was very helpful to the people in the community. Her husband Alberto T. Aguero preceded Julia in death. Survivors include 3 sons Alberto Aguero, Jr. and wife Josefina of San Antonio, Reyes Aguero and wife Rosabelia of Cotulla and Ricardo Aguero and wife Margarita of Cotulla; 8 daughters Emilia Aguilar of Cotulla, Maria Felicita Garza of Illinois, Guadalupe Perez and husband, Arturo, III of Oklahoma, Catarina Ayala of Castroville, Juanita Torres and husband John Henry of Devine, Elizabeth Susana Rodriguez of Cotulla, Sara Reyna and husband Ramiro of Cotulla, and Maria Alicia Garcia and husband Reynaldo, Jr. of Cotulla; 57 grandchildren, 128 great-grandchildren and 57 great-great-grandchildren. Rosary was recited Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Peters Funeral Home in Cotulla. Mass was celebrated Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla. Interment will follow in the Cristo Rey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Reyes M. Aguero, Ricardo M. Aguero, Reynoldo Garcia, III, Rey Anthony A. Garcia, Reyvick A. Garcia, Reyberto A. Garcia, Alberto Aguero, III, Manuel Albert Aguero.
