From his obituary found in The State 29 August 1979: Clyde Middlebrooks, 83, of 225 Harden St., died Monday in Richland Memorial Hospital. Born in Elamville, Ala., he was a son of the late John and Lula Middlebrooks. He was a retired representative of Lone Star Industried, Inc., a World War I veteran, a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, Forest Lake Club and American Legion Richland Post 6. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Katherine Rideoutte Middlebrooks; a daughter, Mrs. C.E. (Jane) Fonvielle of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Dr. A.E. Middlebrooks of Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He can be found on the 1900 US Census for Faulk, Barbour, AL with parents J. A. and E. V. Middlebrows.
