Mr. Vollmer was a meat cutter at Streck Meat Packing Company in Belleville, Ill., and later worked as a security officer at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Clarence was a devoted member of St. Peter's Cathedral Parish and a trombonist in Musicians Local 29. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eleonora, nee Staub, Vollmer; a brother, Earl Vollmer; and two sisters, Ardel Bergheger and Arlene Reeb.
Burial with military honors will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
