Cookie has been a Colusa County resident for 45 years.
She graduated from U.C. Davis with her Bachelor's Degree in History.
In 1936 she married Lee Traynham.
Cookie was a cattle rancher for 56 years. She was an active member of Glenn-Colusa Cattlewomen's Assoc., California Angus Assoc., California Shorthorn Assoc., Brahman Assoc., Omega Nu, a past Fire Commissioner and a Colusa County 4-H leader.
Cookie enjoyed showing her cattle, gardening, cooking, traveling and being outdoors. She found her greatest happiness at home in Arbuckle with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Traynham of Arbuckle; daughter, Buckley Traynham-Cox of Eagle Point, Oregon; son, Roy Traynham of Arbuckle; grandchildren, Ashley, Maddie, Seth, John, Judy, Megan and Wade. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzy Roy Robinson and Elizabeth Nelson Robinson and brother, Richard Robinson
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 beginning at 1 p.m. The services will be held at the City of Woodland Cemetery, located at 800 West Street in Woodland.
Contributions may be made at any Umpqua Bank to the Cookie Traynham Memorial Fund which will support Colusa County 4-H and FFA Members.
