On February 14, 1882, he was united in marriage to Lydia A. Hunt at Brownville, Nebr. To this union were born seven children, two sons dying in infancy. In 1886, they moved to Cloud county, Kans., and then to Custer county, Okla., in 1901.
Those who mourn the loss are three children, Mrs. William Beberniss, and two sons, W. L. and Emmor, all of Custer City; six grandchildren, Freeda Nelson of South Beach, Ore., Kenneth Lash, Irene and Imogene Karr, Charles and Shirley Ann Lash, all of Custer City; three great-grandchildren, Melba and Mable Nelson of South Beach, Ore., and Roland Lee Lash of Custer City; one sister, Susan Hamilton of Elmonte, Calif.; and two brothers, John and Charles Lash, both of Auburn, Nebr.
