The death of Richard Leonard occurred at his home on George Street yesterday afternoon after a lingering illness. Heart failure was the cause of death. The deceased was highly respected and widely known in the village, having been engaged in the grocery business for more than fifty years. He attended St. Mark's Church. He had frequently been offered positions of trust in the village administration, but always declined to accept.
The deceased is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ira McKinney, Mrs. Emma Walk, Mrs. James Meagher, all of Green Island, and Mrs. William Jermain of Cohoes, and four sons - John, James, Fred W. and Alfred Leonard, all of Green Island. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon from the residence, 99 George Street, and later from St. Mark's Church. Rev. R.J. Adler will conduct the services.

The will of Richard Leonard of George Street has been offered for probate. James Leonard, a son, and Rev. R. J. Adler of St. Mark's Chapel are named as the executors. The estate will be divided among eight children.

The will of Richard Leonard of Green Island was admitted to probate this morning by Surrogate Flits and letters issued to James Leonard. The estate, valued at $30,000 real and $12,000 personal, is disposed of as follows: Elizabeth McKinney, $4,200, and Emma Walk, $3,600, and contingent remainder; John Leonard, life estate; James Leonard, $2,700; Harriet Jerman, $4,200; Frederick Leonard, $4,600; Alfred L. Leonard, $3,700; Amelia W. Mahar, $1,000, and a contingent remainder to each. Lillian Winters, $125; Harriet Dick, $125; trustees of the Corning-Foundation for Christian Work in the diocese of Albany, $100; Cathedral of All Saints, $200; rector, church wardens and vestrymen of St. Mark's Protestant Episcopal church, Green Island, $200, and a contingent remainder to Addie McCall, Vera Rabbitt, Addie Rabbitt and Bessie Rabbitt.
