ALTON EVENING TELEGRAPH, Alton Illinois, 1 May 1930, obituary, Mrs. Anna Windsor Dies at Home After Four–Day Illness — Well Known Upper Alton Woman Succumbs in 70th Year, “Mrs. Anna Windsor, wife of H. L. Windsor, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at the family home, 1824 Main street, after an illness of but four days. Mrs. Windsor had been in failing health for a year but her condition did not become serious until a few days ago. She was born near Hornsby, Ill., in 1860, and in 1879 was married to H. L. Windsor. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last June. Mrs. Windsor was a member of a well known upper Alton family where she had resided for the past 25 years, moving here from Bethalto. She had been a member of the Upper Alton Baptist Church for 20 years and was active there in the various organizations whenever her health permitted. Surviving Mrs. Windsor in addition to her husband, are nine children: five daughters and four sons. The daughters are Mrs. H. C. Fors, Mrs. H. E. Suhre, and Miss E. M. Windsor of Alton; Mrs. F. D. Guthrie of Halfway, Wyoming, and Mrs. J. J. Fisher of Hannibal, Mo. The sons: F. R. Windsor of Nameoki, E. H. Windsor of Hillsboro and V. E. Windsor and N. A., Windsor of Alton. She also leaves eight grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. L. W. Hostetter of Raritan, Ill., two brothers, J. D. Mitchell of Taylorville and L. H. Mitchell of Hornsby. Funeral arrangements are indefinite awaiting the arrival of the daughter, Mrs. Guthrie from Wyoming.”

Windsor, will be held Friday at 2:30 o’clock at the family home, 1824 Main street. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Relatives and friends of the immediate families will attend the funeral. The body may be viewed a the family home from 7 to 9 this evening, and from 10 to 12 Friday.”
