(Note: Cornelius would have been born abt Feb 1870)

Next to the family is the Con Healy family, Con being age 45 and likely father John's younger brother. Living with Con's family is Dunn Healy, age 86, widow, b. abt 1794 in Ireland. He was likely grandfather to Cornelius.

CORNELIUS P. HEALY

Cornelius P. (Con) Healy, 76, of 1012 South 16th Street, who retired from the
Manitowoc police department seven years ago because of failing health, died late
yesterday afternoon at the Holy Family hospital. He was moved to the hospital
earlier in the day from his home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30 am
from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and at nine o'clock from the St.
Boniface church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Members of the police
department will form an honorary escort.
Mr. Healy was born in Shirley, Brown County, in 1867 and spent his early life on
a farm. He married Miss Sarah Holloran of this city 41 years ago they moved to a
farm near Shirley which he operated for seven years. Moving to Manitowoc, Mr. Healy
established a milk delivery route here and was one of the founders of a dairy
company which later became the Midwest Creamery and erected a plant on Washington
street. Disposing of his interests in this business in 1917, Mr. Healy joined the
police department. For years he directed traffic at Eighth and Franklin streets,
the city's busiest intersection and became a familiar figure to motorists and
pedestrians.
Late in 1937 Officer Healy was taken ill and he was retired on pension early in
1938. He was honored by being given a life membership in the Wisconsin Policemen's
Protective Association. He was a charter member of the Manitowoc Knights of Columbus
and was also a member of the Holy Name Society of the St. Boniface congregation.
Mrs. Healy died 11 years ago. Survivors are two daughters, Charlotte and Mrs.
Willard Sershon of this city; son, John of this city; three brothers, Attorney
John Healy and Dunn, of this city, Dennis of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Miss Nora
Healy of this city and two grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after seven o'clock Saturday evening.
