Raymond W. Heim Sr, 71 passed away October 16, 2010 in his home at 2:10 Am. surounded by his loved ones after a long courageous battle with cancer.He was born in White Deer Pennsylvania. Spent 8 years in the Navy which brought him to Virginia and retired from the United states Postal Service after 30 years of diligent service. He was a well known local fisherman and lure maker.and a member of the Va Beach Anglers Club. He was predeceased by his mother Kathryn Koch and his wife Phyllis Heim. He is survived by his brother George F. Heim jr. sister Ardith Wilkins, daughter Peggy Duke, sons Jerry Heim, Randy Heim and Raymond Heim Jr, and his fiancee Tamela Allison who was also Mr Heims companion, also surviving Ray are his grandsons Matthew and Jeffrey Duke and many friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Ray's life will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11am in the chaple at Woodlawn funeral home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. The family will recieve friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Woodlawn from 6 to 8Pm.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart association.
