JUDGE BUTLER'S WIFE DEAD

Fatally Stricken With Heart Disease at Her Home in West Chester.

WEST CHESTER, Dec. 7.—Mrs. Letitia Miner Butler, wife of Judge William Butler, of the United States District Court at Philadelphia, died suddenly at her home on North High street, this place, to-day, as the result of heart disease, the attack coming without the slightest warning. Mrs. Butler was 67 years old. She leaves six children, Judge William Butler, Jr., who was but recently elected to the bench in Chester county; George Butler, of Media; Misses Carrie and Anne Butler, and Mrs. William S. Windle, of this borough, and Mrs. Charles Scott, of Overbrook.

Judge Butler has been ill for a couple of weeks past, but he had almost entirely recovered his usual health, and it was his intention to go to Philadelphia again this morning and resume his duties, but the sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Butler prevented.
