He was a U. S. Army Veteran. He loved to hunt, fish and farm his land and he was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Marvin Trahan and wife Renetta of Iowa; Lawrence Trahan and wife Felicia of Leesville; daughters, Tammy Peshoff and husband Kirk of Cameron; Monica Trahan Strickler and husband Joey of Cameron; Tara Miller and husband Troy of Creole; brothers, Nathan Trahan of Orange;TX., Ted Trahan of Lake Charles; Carroll Trahan of Sulphur; sisters, Georgia McRight of Sulphur; Faye Melancon of Youngsville; Leanna Broussard of Sour Lake, TX.; Elaine Carter of Woodworth; Linda Vining of Monroe; nine grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his loving companion Ellie Mae.
He preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Mae Trahan, wife, Cornelia LaBove Trahan and his granddaughter Trish Trahan.
His service will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Henry Prentice will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and resume Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Head of the Hollow Cemetery of Johnson Bayou.
