David Michael Frigge, 34, of Sioux City, died Sept. 19 in a Sioux City hospital from injuries sustained in a fall Sept. 6. Frigge fell from a ladder while working on a roof and had been in a coma since the accident. He graduated from Akron-Westfield in 1985.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22 at the Larkin Funeral Home, 2320 Outer Drive North, Sioux City. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in South Sioux City, Neb. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Larkin Funeral Home.

Frigge was born April 6, 1966, in Sioux City the son of David J. and Verna L. (Sweisberger) Frigge. In 1969 the family moved to Hawarden and in 1975 moved to Westfield.

He married Heather Johnson June 20, 1998. They have a two year old daughter, Tyra. Frigge also has a 14 year old stepson, Brian.

Frigge had been employed as a machinist at Missouri Valley Steel in Sioux City.

Known as a strong, healthy young man and loving husband and father, Frigge had a great appreciation of life and enjoyed all outdoor activities and bike riding. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Heather, daughter Tyra, and stepson Brian; parents, David and Verna Frigge; a brother, Rusty and his wife Melissa of Westfield; a sister, Chris Schenkelberg and her husband, Nick, of Sioux City; grandmothers Norma Stoffer of Sioux City and Berniece Sweisberger of South Sioux City; mother-in-law, Donna Johnson of Sioux City and father-in-law Roosevelt Johnson of California; brothers-in-law Scott Radcliffe and wife Marilyn and Brad Radcliffe and wife Teresa of Whittier, CA; sisters-in-law Kim Leaverton and Halle Kourpias and husband, George of Sioux City; five nieces and 10 nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Al Stoffer and George Sweisberger and grandparents Frank and Ida Frigge.
