Victor L. Adams, 82, of Grants Pass died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at Fairview Transitional Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Adams was born April 25, 1919, in Showlow, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was awarded the Victory Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1949 from Nampa, Idaho. On Feb. 14, 1988, in Grants Pass, he married Alice Sloman.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife and several nieces and nephews.
