Graham Bellinger one of Herkimer's well known residents, died Monday evening at his residence in North Washington street. He had been ill for a year and was suffering from cirrhosis of the liver and for the past six months had been confined to his home. Mr. Bellinger was a son of the late Jacob G. Bellinger and nearly all his life was spend in Herkimer. He was born in Herkimer in 1857. For several years he was engaged in the ice business. In 1893 he sold a half interest in the business to P. H. Brown who purchased the entire business in 1899. Soon after Mr. Bellinger engaged in the hotel business in Mohawk and was proprietor of the Mohawk Valley House at the time it burned. He afterward purchased the Edick House in Mohawk from which he retired two years ago on account of failing health. The funeral services were held at his late residence Saturday and the remains were interred in Oak Hill Cemetery. The deceased is survived by his wife and one daughter, his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Bellinger and one sister Mrs. Irving R. Devendorf all of this village.
