Alton R. Brown, 44, a senior geologist for Viersen and Cochran Drilling Co, Oklahoma City, died on Monday, 28 April, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City as the result of an earlier automobile accident on N Pennsylvania Ave in The Village. His wife Eyvonne, 41, also died in the same accident. Mr Brown, a US Marine veteran, had worked with Texaco in Illinois, Kansas and Oklahoma from 1959 until 1966, and had worked for Vierson and Cochran since. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at Grace Methodist Church, with interment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Sherman-Demuth Funeral Home. Mr Browns were survived by his and Eyvonne's their three children, Greg of McAlester, Mrs Diane Melton of Seminole, and Bruce of the home; additionally, he was survived by his parents Mr and Mrs Edd Brown of Oklahoma City. *Source: The Daily Oklahoman of Tuesday, 29 Apr 1975, pg 1, and Wednesday, 30 Apr 1975, pg 13.
