Anne J. Abraham, 78, of Danbury, wife of the late Nicholas Abraham, died Tuesday morning, June 29, 2004 at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Abraham was born in Danbury, March 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Haddad) Attick. She attended Danbury schools.
Mrs. Abraham was associated with her husband in the former Danbury business of Abraham Vending and Amusement Company, dealers in coin operated vending and amusement machines.
A member of St. Anns Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Danbury, Mrs. Abraham was also a member of its Ladies Society and of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church Ladies Society. She enjoyed sketching, quilting and cooking.
She is survived by a son, Frederick L. Abraham of Danbury; two daughters: Barbara Hatch of Bethel; and Peggy Ramey of Danbury: a brother, Nicholas Attick of Maryland; two grandchildren: Amanda Hatch and Nicholas Abraham Ramey as well as several nieces and nephews.
The Rite of Burial will take place this morning at 10:30 a.m., in St. Ann?s Melkite Greek Catholic Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Road, Route 39, Danbury, with the Rev. Father Michael K. Skrocki, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at St. Anns Church today, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Memorial donations to St. Anns Church Building Fund, 181 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, 06811 would be appreciated.
The Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
