Beloved husband and father, George Adrian passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2012.

The youngest of ten children, George was born on December 20, 1920, and grew up in Long Beach, Ca.

He moved to Berkeley in 1938 to attend California State University, Berkeley School of Engineering.

Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. military and became a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Returning home from his service to our country, George went to work for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as a Civil and Sanitary Engineer.

It was there that he met his future wife of 65-3/4 years, Margaret, "Marge" Fogarty. Falling instantly in love with her, George proposed marriage to Marge within one week and she accepted. They married and had three children: Carol Skandera of Santa Rosa, Bob Adrian of Colorado and Robin Tilghman of Fresno.

After 31 years as an engineer, George retired and he and Marge moved to Morgan Hill so George could then serve as Vice President of California Water Service Company. After nine years there, they moved to Fresno where he fulfilled his lifelong dream of farming for over 25 years.

George's passions were his Christian faith, his family and friends. He loved the church, serving and teaching.

He touched many lives and will be dearly missed by his wife; three children; nine grandchildren; sixteen plus greatgrandchildren; and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
