Elaine passed away after a battle with cancer and heart disease. Born the oldest child of Sherman and Henrietta Potts, Elaine grew up in York. She was a 1st Lt. Army Nurse during the Korean War when she came to Texas. She and G. Ronald Aldis were married by Dr. Charles Allen at First Methodist Church. Elaine's survivors include Ronald and their sons - Jay Aldis, his wife Lisa and daughters Madison, Meredith and Kelland, and Jeff Aldis, his wife Laura and daughters Abigail and Emily. Elaine's second marriage was to Wayne Wagner, now deceased. She is survived by their daughter Sarah and her family, including husband Chris Johnson and sons Dalton and Jonathan and daughter Stephanie, all of Austin. Other survivors include her sister, Mrs. Joyce Hoff, and a brother Jay Potts, both of York, and a brother William Potts of Poquoson, Virginia. Elaine was predeceased by three brothers, Eugene, Guy and John Potts, and a sister Anna Mary Arvin. Elaine was a member of First Methodist Church and of the Sanctuary Choir. She belonged to the Epworth Sunday School Class and participated in other church activities including the Summer Vacation Bible School for children.
