Scott City - Evelyn V. Blattel, 73 years old, of Scott City, died Wednesday at her home.
She was born Aug. 25, 1918, at Scott City, the daughter of Peter John and Bertha Rowena Westerhold Hoffman. She married Elmer P. Blattel on Apr. 25, 1937, in Illmo.
She was a retired seamstress at Ely Walker here. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, its Ladies Sodality, and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Barbara Prenger and Mary Reynolds; a brother, Bill Hoffman; two sisters, Irma Payne and Addie Wilhelm; and six grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be held Friday at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
