Eliphaz Allen was born in Gill, MA, March 10, 1766, the son of Noah Allen, a son of Obadiah. Eliphaz married, Eunice Putnam, the daughter of Andrew Putnam of Winchester, NH. Eliphaz and Eunice resided several years in Greenfield, MA then moved to Townsend, MA briefly before coming to Rindge, NH in 1801. They resided at the farm, later of Caleb French. Eliphaz and Eunice had four children before moving to Rindge that came with the family as children. His wife Eunice died Feb. 9, 1822. Eliphaz married 2nd, Sarah (Stoughton) Richards, widow of Capt. Moses Richards of Gill. Eliphaz died October 24, 1846, aged 80 years.
