Married Catharine Elisabeth Margarette Schütte Oct 10 1843 at St. Vincentius Katholisch Kirche and had all of their 7 children there before emigrating to the US, arriving on the ship "Stella" on Nov. 4, 1857 and settling in Covington.
Catharina died sometime between 1870-1885. She doesn't seem to be buried with Charles as the cemetery lists only him.
Carl's will was written and probated Feb 8, 1885, He added a codicil on April 9, 1896 - both as Charles R. Schoborg. He lists his address as 15 Riddle St, being on the south side of Riddle St. between Bank Lick St. and Pike Street. (Riddle St is now W 9th St) This area is now the NE corner of the John G. Carlisle Elementary School.
While some records indicate Charles was buried at Mother of God Cemetery, an Oct 2012 photo request resulted in finding no match for him at this cemetery.
