Lance Dean Wilson of Peyton, Colorado formerly of North Platte, Nebraska was called home to Jesus on April 7th, 2012 to be with his twins Cody and Wyatt Wilson. He was a very loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather who will be missed more than words can express. He was born in North Platte, Nebraska to Jerry and Carol Wilson. Lance grew up in North Platte playing sports, riding bulls, and graduated from the North Platte High School. In 1990 he joined the U.S. Army, served in Desert Storm and was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. In 1997 he married the love of his life Elizabeth Bland in Hawaii and while stationed in Germany they had two beautiful sons, Cody Austin and Wyatt Travis. After honorably serving 20 plus years in the U.S. Army, Lance's post retirement employment included, PPHD and Schriever AFB. He was an avid Harley rider and was an active member of the VFW and VFW Warriors Motorcycle Organization. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Peyton, CO; parents Jerry and Carol Wilson, sister Michelle (Julian) Whips, brother Justin Wilson, grandmother Anna Mae Wilson all of North Platte, NE; grandmother Mildred Pinkston of Arnold, NE; sons Jason (Marsha) and Benjamin (Colby) of Jasper, TX and Daniel (Patricia) of Colorado Springs, CO; nieces Stephanie and Arabella Whips, Ava Wilson and nephew Levi Wilson all of North Platte, NE; grandchildren Banon, Hayse, Camryn, Logan, and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his twin boys Cody Austin and Wyatt Travis, niece Jessica Lynn, grandfathers Gene Pinkston and Bing Wilson. Services will be at St. Michaels Church in Calhan Colorado at 11 A.M. on Friday April 13th with burial to follow at the Calhan cemetery.
