A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, with the Rev. Mark Schulz of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Donna was born November 16, 1927, in Colfax to Savel and Arlene (Walters) Haugle. She married Floyd Barden in December of 1946. They later divorced. In October of 1976, She married Lawrence “Larry” Krewson.
Donna worked as a waitress most of her life. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She was a wonderful homemaker and an excellent cook. No one ever left her table hungry. Donna also enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, bingo, fishing, and especially her trips to the casino.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Eau Claire; two sons, Donald (Mary) Barden and Steven (Pam Gartner) Barden of Eau Claire; two brothers, Kenneth (Marion) Haugle of Colfax and Ronald (Mary Lee) Haugle of Chapel Hill, N.C.; one sister, Elaine Swartz (Eldon Eaton) of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Peter Barden, Jennifer McIntire (John Chermack), Luke (Amanda Kolstad) Barden, Amanda (Greg) Shiver, Eric (Heather Wolter) Barden and Jason Barden; five great-grandchildren, Erin McIntire, Faith Barden, Jada Barden, Sierra and Mirage Shiver. She is further survived by Larry’s children, Barb (Harold) Mahler, Linda (Lonnie) Olson, Kathy (Barry) Halvorson, Sheri (Douglas) Baker, Steve (Tina) Krewson and David (Aileen) Krewson; seven grandchildren, Angela Owen, Chrystal and Sarah Halvorson, Joseph and Douglas Kranig, Mikelle Taylor, and Paul (Lisa) Clark, seven great-grandchildren, Joseph and Samuel Owen, Dillon and Courtney Kranig, Chelsea Clark, and Cassie and Gwyneth Clark; life-long friend, Shirley De Moe; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Danny; great-granddaughter, Drew Barden; and two brothers, Juel Haugle and Duane Haugle.
