He was born October 23, 1958, in Olney to Kenneth and Thelma Agnew. He died June 22, 2000 after battling a brain tumor for 17 years.
He was awarded the honor of Eagle Scout in 1973 and graduated from Olney High School in 1977. He received his teaching and coaching degrees from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview.
He taught school and coached in the Windthorst, Kemp, Albany and Ferris School Districts. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Texas Coaches Association.
He is survived by his mother Thelma, Agnew of Olney; brother Ronald Agnew, Muskogee, Oklahoma; and sister Kristi Crosby, Kingwood.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Agnew, September 3, 1993
