Ruby was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on January 8th, 1927, daughter of the late John Holloway and China Wilson Holloway.
Ruby was survived by six children, Brenda Roberts, Betty Cook, Mary McQueen, Shirley Mounce, Carol Hylton, and Ruby Hylton Baker; thirty grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a large host of nephews, nieces and other relatives who mourn her passing.
She was first united in marriage to Floyd James Hylton, who preceded her in death, she later married Billy Freeman, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and China Holloway; two children, Ellen Freeman and Lloyd Hylton; six brothers, Jessie Holloway, Eugene Holloway, W.O. Holloway, Carl Holloway, Richard Holloway, and Clarence Holloway, and two sisters, Opal Bolen, and Wilbie Holloway.
Visitations were held at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5th, 2012.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6th, 2012 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral home with Rev. Joy Shearer officiating.
Burial followed in the Grave Hill Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
