Robert BURKE rites

Robert James BURKE, 70, 412 N. Main St., died of an apparent heart attack Thursday at his home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev.William Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Prayers for a Christian wake will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

BURKE was born June 24, 1917 in Fairfield, the son of Frank and Dorthea SHEMANSKI BURKE. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1935, was a veteran of World War II, and worked at Dexter Company until his retirement seven years ago. He married Meda M. PHILLIPS June 13, 1944 in Elkton, Mo. She survives.

Also suviving are a son, Edward, Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Ruth Ann BURKE, San Francisco, Calif.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Albert, Indian Head, Md., and Bernard, Fairfield. His parents, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
