Mrs. F.N. Fitch Dead; Had Lived Here 50 Years
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Adelle Fitch, Cottage Grove Ave SE, wife of Frank N. Fitch, who died Wednesday, will be held in Turner chapel this afternoon at 1:30 Rev. A.A. Brooke, pastor of St. Paul's M.E. church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Fitch had been a resident of Cedar Rapids for the past 50 years. She had been in ill health for several months. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fitch is survived by a son, Frank Fitch, jr., and a daughter, Mrs. George Burrowes, both of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Lawrence Hardy, of Norwalk, Calif., also a daughter. Three brothers, W.H. and H.F. Gates, of Cedar Rapids, and James L. Gates, of California also survive in addition to an aunt, Mrs. E.H. Bruner, of Milwaukee, and six grandchildren. Mrs. Fitch was a sister-in-law of Fred Fitch, vice-president of The Tribune Publishing company.
