Mrs. Emma Sohn, 75, widow of Leo, died at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital Sunday morning after an illness of several years. She had been making her home with a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Sohn, at 2128 N. 25th St. Born in the town of Centerville, April 26, 1885, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Bebermeier. She was baptized, confirmed and married in the Evangelical Reformed Church at Centerville, her marriage to Leo Sohn taking place on Oct. 31, 1903. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1953. Her husband died in 1956. The couple operated a farm near Cleveland most of their lives and she moved to this city in April of this year. They were members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland and since residing in Sheboygan she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors are one son, Alfred H., Sheboygan; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (LaVerne) Hemb, Town of Meeme; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Alvin Rodewald, Cleveland, Mrs. Herman Eberhardt, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Julius Sohn, Spring Valley, and two brothers, Adolph and Otto Bebermeier of Cleveland. One brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Nickel's Funeral home. The Rev. Karl Schulz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Saxon Cemetery in the town of Centerville.
