Ina was born in Spragueville, near Maquoketa, to Francis M Hoovler and Addie M McPeak. Her only sibling was Clarence DeVere Hoovler. She attended teachers college in Cedar Falls and meet "Mac" in Renwick. They married on Dec 27, 1937 near Renwick at her home. Mac and Ina had 5 children: James, William, David, Robert and Anne. Mac passed away at an early age. Ina and their children continued to maintain the farm until Bill took over. Ina was active in many community groups, including DAR, and the Methodist Church. She also taught in the local schools, especially art. Ina was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and 2 sons.
