Chief Warrant Officer U.S. Army, Vietnam War-CWO Brittenum was killed in action on 12-16-1969 while serving as a {100B} Helicopter Pilot with the 336th Aviation Helicopter Co. of the 13th Aviation Battalion of the 164th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade. CWO Brittenum started his tour of Vietnam on January 6, 1969. He was almost done.

He is the son of Mr. Oscar Sr. of 8419 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois & Mrs. Ellen M. Waller of 7529 South Sangamon Street, Chicago, Illinois.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Pilot Wings, Air Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal.
