Pfc. Robert A. Davis was a 1960 graduate of Oxford Area High School. He was a farmer in civilian life. He was drafted into the Army on November 26, 1963. He had only 11 days to go until discharge when he was killed in the Ia Drang Valley. His survivors included his mother Mrs. Viola Davis, his father Clement Davis, His brothers Blair, Gilbert, Wesley, Thomas, and Larry, and his sisters Debbie Bailey and Sally.
