Jack was the only child of John J. and Camille D. Geoghegan
He was the first husband of Barbara Weathers Geoghegan Johns, married June 13, 1964 He was the father of Camille Ann Geoghegan Olson, born June 8, 1965
In an effort to save the life of one of his men in the Battle of the Ia Drang Valley, they were both killed.
He was featured in WE WERE SOLDIERS ONCE ... AND YOUNG."
