Enterprise-Joe A. Mills, 85, Enterprise, died Saturday, Oct. 13, at an Abilene hospital.Mr. Mills was a farmer and stockman near Enterprise all his life.He was born April 11, 1899, on a farm near Enterprise, the son of Frank and Anna Burkhart Mills.Mr. Mills was a member of the United Methodist Church at Enterprise.He was married Dec. 25, 1929, to Cordelia Irene Anderson. She died Sept. 3, 1978. An infant daughter, Doris Mills, also preceded him in death.Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joanna Clemence, Abilene, and Mrs. Kitty Dalton, Salina; a son, Dr. Leon Mills, Herington; two brothers, George Mills, Abilene and Dr. Fred Mills, Evansville, Ind.; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church here. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Enterprise. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Martin Funeral Home in Abilene where contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
