VIOLA, Wis. - Frank G. Abelt, 88, of Viola, died Tuesday, April 10 in the Vernon County New Home, Viroqua. He was bom Dec. 12, 1890, in Vernon County to Fred and Otelia Abelt. He farmed in the Viola area all his life and married Anna C. Olson on March 29, 1911. She died in 1925, and he married Georgia Beth Clift on Oct. 30, 1932. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Beth; one son; Fred, Viola; two sisters, Mrs. William (Mary) Better, Cumberland, and Mrs. Emma Handy, San Diego; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by one daughter, one grandson, five brothers and one sister. Services will be at. 2 p.m. Thursday at Henthom Memorial Center, Viola, the Rev. Donna Green officiating. Burial will be in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call at the center after 7 p.m. today and before the service on Thursday. Beier Funeral Home, Viroqua, is in charge of arrangemnts.
