NATCHITOCHES - Services for Sidney W. Bright, Jr. will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Conrad Edwards and Ryan Horton officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis.

Bright, 66, of Natchitoches died Saturday morning in his residence.

He was a retired florist and U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he served on the board of trustees and on the administration board. He was a Mason, a member of the Kiwanis Club and a charter member of the Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the American Legion. He was a native of Hemphill, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Ethelene S. Bright of Natchitoches; three daughters, Beth Windham of Natchitoches, Rhonda Kuhlmann of Alexander, Ark., and Sarah Lou Maines of White Oak, Texas; one sister Mary Frances Brown of Natchitoches; six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Handbell Choir or to the charity of the donor's choice.
