William Andrew Tomas "Will" Kennedy was born 9 May 1872 in Maury County, Tennessee to Andrew Knox Polk Kennedy and Easter Louella Henderson. He was #2 of 10 children and the first born son. On 1 July 1905 in Maury County, Tennessee, he united in Holy Matrimony with Lola Winifred Edith Ray Rich, daughter of Fred W. Rich and Melissa Tennessee Ray. They were the parents of ten children: Easter Edith, Birdie Grey, Everett Ray, Ernest Harvey, Jesse Irwin, Ruthie Truly Dixie Gladys, Azzie Myrtle "Jeanie", William Andrew Tomas Jr., Ada Kathryne, and Thomas Edward. Will Kennedy died on 22 Mar 1936 at Kings Daughter's Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee after having his legs cut off in an accident at the bridge in Sandy Hook, Tennessee. He is buried beside his wife at Arlington Cemetery. The stone that marks the grave now is not the original stone. The original stone had become badly damaged and was replaced in the late 1980s or early 1990s by the couple's son, Thomas.
