Whiting Funeral Attracts Sympathy

Whiting, Ind., July 22 - the funeral of Robert Ingraham, who passed away on Sunday morning, July 18, after a lingering illness due to a complication of diseases, was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church. The services were preached by the Rev. Rogers.

Mr. Ingraham was a brother of the late Herbert Ingraham, the popular music writer. He was 28 years of age and has been a resident of Whiting for the past twenty-four years, having come to Whiting with his parents from Joliet, Ill., when he was four years old.

Mr. Ingraham was employed by the Standard Oil company as an engineer, and was a member of Whiting lodge, I.O.O.F.

He is survived by his bereaved wife and Edwin, his eight-year old son; also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ingraham; a brother Roy Ingraham, and two sisters, Mrs. Zella Hendrickson and Miss Myrtle Ingraham.

The remains were laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery, at Hammond.
