CHARLES MERCER FAGAN --- November, 25, 1944 to December 13, 2011 Our beloved friend and father passed away on December 13, 2011 at the V.A. Hospital in La Jolla. Charles "Charlie" "Chuck" was born on November 25, 1944 in Dover, Delaware. Charlie served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and arrived here in San Diego following his Honorable Discharge from the service. Charlie lived in San Diego for most of the years following his time in the service. He also spent time living in Columbus, Texas. He owned RV Merchant and worked in the motorhome industry for several years He Ioved basebalI, America and pizza pie. Charle was a tru patriot who was compassionately devoted to his country. Although he loved San Diego, he also was a world traveler. Charlie spent his final years retired and living in Camp Land by the Bay. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Camp land for their generosity and compassion for Charlie. Charlie was one of the last true gentlemen. He was a man of dignity and charm. Charlie was proud of his Irish heritage. In accordance with his wishes there will be no service, however, tip a pint back in his honor. He would have liked that. Charlie leaves behind many friends who will miss him greatly and is survived by three children: Son Charles Fagan of Annapolis, MD and daughters Tracey Soss of Houston, Texas and Chelsea Rose Fagan of San Diego, California. He is also survived by grandsons Edward and Patrick Cumming of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Mariner Fagan of Annapolis, MD.
