James Patrick Bennett, 11 month old son of Mrs Margaret Bennett, 3810- 20th ave. Rock Island, died at 7:25 pm, in St. Anthony's hospital after a brief illness. the child was taken to the hospital yesterday afternoon. Death was due to bronchial pneumonia.
He was born in Rock Island, Dec. 20, 1940. Surviving are the mother; three half brothers, Ralph, Gerald, and Roger Brown, all at home; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lolo Bennett of Ridgefield, Il, and a great aunt Mrs. Louis M. Goddard, Rock Island. The child's father, James Bennett drowned last Dec. 30.
The body of the child was taken to the Wheelan funeral home, Rock Island.
Rev. Gilbert F. Close, Jr, pastor of South Park Presbyterian church officiated.
Burial will be in Ridgefield, Il
