Mr. Forrest was born in Kinston, NC, on October 13, 1935, and was a son of the late J.T. and Ola Mae Sutton Forrest. Following graduation from Hallsboro High School, he entered the US Navy where he served for 22 years.
Following his retirement from the Navy, he and his wife Nancy moved to Holden Beach. He was a member of the Shallotte River Power Squadron and a Life Member of the Holden Beach VFW #8866. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kerrelee Forrest.
Mr. Forrest is survived by his wife, Nancy Edge Forrest of the home; a son, Kevin Forrest and wife Laura of High Point, NC; a daughter, Kimberly Forrest of Schwenksville, PA; a step-son, Curtis Duncan and wife Julie of Sparta, NC; and a step-daughter, Jennifer Bolt.
