THE FAMILY OF CHRISTIAN NINE

The last recorded attendance at St. Paul's
Lutheran Church at Carmel (now Aurora) by Christian and Susannah NINE was on 8 April 1832. Sometime after this, it is believed that they attended the Methodist Church on Salt Lick Run'

Dr. Eldon B. Tucker, M.D. of Salt lake City, Utah, a great-great grandson of Christian and Susannah NINE visited their old farm near Amblesburg about 1949 while George Nine and his wife Ida Mae (Heimerick) Nine were living in it. He visited the grave of Christian Nine who is buried under a small poison ivy covered apple tree on the second ridge from the house. The stone over his grave is crudely marked "H.C. NINE, 84, 11 November 1858". The "H" possibly could stand for Hans or Heinrich. It can be presumed that Susannah Nine is buried near him.
