Catskill—Marguerite Ruth Roberts, 80, of Buttermilk Falls Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2004 on route to Columbia Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Mrs. Roberts was born on April 15, 1923 in Windham to the late Herbert and Anna Pond Plankenhorn.
She married Marshall Roberts on Sept. 25, 1943 and worked at St. Joseph's Villa as a nurse's aide for 39 years until her retirement in 1978.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her children, Marshall Roberts of Ulster Park, Priscilla O'Kesson of California, Ronald Roberts of Castleton, Anna Bell Heath and Phyllis Tozier, both of Catskill, 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Marshall Roberts in 1979, sons Edward Roberts on Jan. 13, 1974 and Donald Roberts on Oct. 7, 2000 and sisters Kathleen Elizabeth and Marjorie.
Private cremation was conducted at the Albany Rural Crematorium on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004 at the Catskill Rural Cemetery at 11 a.m. with clergy from St. Patrick's R. C. Church officiating. Those who wish to attend may meet at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill at 10:30 a.m. for the procession to the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Villa, 38 Prospect Avenue, Catskill, NY 12414.
