1945 - Mrs. Amanda P. Krause, 89, oldest member of the Longswamp Reformed church, Mertztown, died yesterday at her home, 315 Hollenbach St., Reading. Her husband, William Henry Krause, preceded her in death last May. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Amelia C., nee Shoemaker (sic Schumacher), Delong. She leaves the following survivors: two daughters, Sadie, wife of Elmer Sallade; Minnie, wife of Albert A. Hiester; and one son, Raymond W. Krause, all of Reading. A brother, Peter DeLong of Longswamp and many cousins, nieces and nephews from this city also survive. Rev. John Herbster will officiate at services on Saturday at 10:30 at the Henninger funeral home, 229 N. 5th St., Reading. Interment will be made in the Longswamp Reformed church cemetery, Mertztown.
