Russell Wade Gilly, 71 of Big Stone Gap, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (March 21, 2009) at his home. He was born on December 9, 1937 and lived in Powell Valley.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Gilliam Funeral Home, Big Stone Gap. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tony Palubicki officiating. Special music to be offered by Dianne Bloomer.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 25 at 11 a.m. at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, with military rites by local V.F.W. and D.A.V Units. Family and friends are asked to assemble at Gilliam Funeral Home to leave in procession at 10:30 a.m. to go to the cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.
